Visiting Spain was always on top of our list of travel destinations. Studying the art & architecture in design school was a personal favorite of ours. Fast forward 5 years later when we got the chance to visit three cities in Spain and it was one of the most memorable trips of our lives! The country inspired us more than we could have ever imagined and here is just a peek at some of the highlights. First up, Madrid.

The view from the balcony of our boutique hotel in the Barrio de Salamanca. This neighborhood is ultimate elegance and it's on the quieter side of town, which made for perfect night caps for these touristas after a very long day of exploring the city. It's off the major roads with delightful side streets lined with beautiful trees that filled the air with the most delicious fragrance. The area is home to some of best shopping, boutiques, and charming restaurants in all of Madrid.

How adorable is this shabby chic teahouse down the street of our hotel? We loved the punch of citron mingled with a black, white, & pale blue color palette! Oh... And, café con leches were a must!

Stumbled upon this artsy bar for a quick pick me up and we fell in love! The white washed exposed brick, the industrial bar stools contrasting with ornate columns, and that turquoise wall for a pop of color! We couldn't love it more.

The best of the best on our last night in Madrid. This restaurant was just a few streets away from our hotel, so we decided to stop in for a late dinner. We found ourselves obsessing over the decor during most of the meal, but can you blame us? The mix-and-match look with the dining chairs is right on trend & they pulled it off beautifully. From the tweed host chairs, the woven textures, and that gorgeous indigo ikat pattern, this place was stunning! And, we cannot forget the drool worthy wallpaper. This was the perfect end to a magical four days in the capital. Until next time Madird...adiós!
